Æther is a series of five short solo card puzzles set in the same brass-and-steam workshop. Each one takes an ordinary deck somewhere new: a die that decides what you draw, a clock that will not wait, the rings of an orrery, siphons that drip cards, a five-by-five poker grid.
They share one interface and one rule of thumb: a game lasts a few minutes, and you always want one more. Easy and Normal are there to learn the ropes; an optional Expert mode is waiting for those who want a steeper climb.
All five are free on Google Play, play fully offline, in English and French, with no ads, no account and no data collected. Three of them can also be played right in the browser on itch.io.
The five games
Æther Engine
Roll the die, fill the contracts.
A die decides how many cards you draw; your hand decides which contracts you can fill. Clear them all in as few rolls as you can, and watch out for the four jammed gears hidden in the 56-card deck.

Æther Chronograph
Card combos against the clock.
Lay twelve cards around a clock face, then build combinations before the needle ticks on to the next position. On Expert you play blind, with two seconds per step.

Æther Orrery
Turn the rings, line up the stars.
Thirteen cards spread across the three rotating rings of a mechanical orrery. Time your hand with the turning rings to score multiplied combos over four revolutions.

Æther Siphon
Catch the right card as it falls.
Cards slide down the workshop's siphons. Catch the one you need, slot it into a contract, and complete every contract with as few catches as possible.

Æther Tableau
Poker squares on a brass table.
Place 25 cards one at a time in a five-by-five grid where every row and every column is a poker hand. A card never moves once placed, so every choice counts twice.
